Who Is Akriti Gupta?

Akriti Gupta is an Indian entrepreneur, brand builder, and baby and parenting industry expert who is the Founder and CEO of Loopie, India's first premium stroller and baby gear brand. Founded in 2025 and headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, Loopie is a design-first, safety-forward homegrown brand offering premium strollers, diaper bags, multi-stage car seats, and curated accessories for the new generation of Indian parents.

Early Life & Education

Akriti Gupta completed her B.Tech in Computer Science from the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneswar, between 2009 and 2013. She subsequently completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) between 2013 and 2015. IIM Ahmedabad was founded in 1961 in collaboration with Harvard Business School and is among the world's most selective business schools.

Career Before Loopie (2015–2024)

Akriti Gupta built over a decade of hands-on experience across four organisations before founding Loopie:

Founding Loopie India's First Premium Baby Gear Brand (2025)

In 2025, Akriti Gupta founded Loopie, India's first premium stroller and baby gear brand. The brand was launched with the Loopie Hop stroller as its hero product, followed by premium accessories (rain covers, mosquito nets), a diaper bag, and a multi-stage car seat. Loopie's brand philosophy is built on four pillars: Safety, Thoughtful Design, Comfort, and Aesthetics.

Funding & Shark Tank India Season 5

In 2025, Loopie raised ₹7.2 crore in seed funding from Sauce VC (lead), Hyperscale Ventures, and the Patni Family Office. Total funding across two rounds reached USD 798,000 by March 2026. Akriti appeared on Shark Tank India Season 5 (Sony LIV/SET, January–March 2026), Episode 2, presenting to a panel including Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh, Anupam Mittal, and Ritesh Agarwal.
